Satomi Kai Aikido would like to extend a warm welcome to all the new students who joined our beginners course this month. We’ve had a good response to the course again, and our new starters seem a great bunch – enthusiastic, and quick learners.
We look forward to seeing some of them branching out into our general classes in the coming weeks. Everyone seems to be enjoying the course, and it’s our sincere hope that they’ll continue their aikido practice at our classes long after the course ends.
We’d also like to extend our thanks to those of our regular members who have been on hand to help out, as the new students get to try a whole range of techniques in what can be quite a complex martial art.
Beginners weren’t the only new faces on the mat this month either, as we were lucky enough to have a new black belt join the club from the Aikikai in France.
It’s always great to have more senior grades to help guide and inspire those working their way up through the belts, but it’s even better when those people come from different backgrounds and different instructors themselves, as it brings in new influences and insights to all levels.
